Re: Brio Report Builder

c) It seems that you cannot alter the layout of existing SQR's (ie ones
created using Notepad etc). Is this correct? If so, its a bit of a pain.
Anyone figured a way around this yet?

Check your file permissions, you should easily beable to alter the file
permissions and then the file itself, resulting in a new sqr.. WOOOHOOOO. :)

Good Luck

Subject: Brio Report Builder

Hi all,
I've just installed this product so that our company can evaluate it.
My questions are: -

a) Has anyone else used it and if so what do you think to it?
b) When creating reports, I can see and select the tables and columns and
write reports, but it doesnt pull back any data. I'm connecting to a remote
Unix server using Oracle 7 ODBC (although its an Oracle 8 DB, but the SQR
Oracle 8 ODBC errored (System 126?)). Any ideas?

d) Is this the correct place to ask? I'm going to give Brio a call soon ref
the Oracle 8 issue.

Thanks,

      Tim
