Application Messaging -PeopleTools 8.11 - help

Hi friends
I tried sending a message from one table in a database
to
 another table in the same database.  I created my own
node,
channel and  message definition.  But iam not able to
route the
message through my channel. I created a dedicated
message server for
 my channel and have given security access.The
documentation for
Application Messagin says that the new message server
has to be
configured like the other server processes. I don't
know how and
is that the reason for my message not getting routed
through
my channel?
