I forgot to respond to the second half of your question. The Portal
documentation refers to "Multi-page Smart Forms" but there isn't much
information about how they work. I think that you can specify the
SmartCut to a parameter form as the ACTION of another form and use the
values submitted by the first form in the second, but I don't know the
details. We might end up going down that road at some point, so if you
get something working I would definitely be interested.
Your problem of showing a list of cities for the selected states is not
well suited to our solution for limiting one selection by another
because you would have to include in your form a list of all the cities
in the US with their associated states. That could top 5,000 cities and
150 K. It might work for you but I can't guarantee that performance and
download times would be acceptable.
