THANKS ALL! and ANOTHER PUZZLE!

Thanks for all your input. We whacked everything we possibly could out of
GLS9002.SQR  and then ran it.  We never got better than 1000/4 minute
period, so in a vain effort to bench mark the process (we had heard from
others that client mode was faster)  we excuted the process on the Client.
WOOOOO HOOOOOO we're rockin about 3500/minute which is a very tolerable
situation for us.

BUT, as there is always a BUT, WE still have a problem with the server and
thats a BIG problem.  HOW can a RS/6000 with 4 600 megahertz processors and
over a gig of memory be slower than a 500mhz 128 megRam PC.  Are there any
AIX guru's out there who encountered this problem or have you seen it in
your organization?  I would love to talk to you and my SYS Admin's would
too.  Now, if you emailed me the solution and I was albe to take a
resolution to them I would look like a BIG HERO...

Well folks , It's rainy and nasty outside here in Roanoke Va and I am
feeling better. I really appreciate all of your responses and effort you
took to answer.  I am thankful...
