Bob,
You message will go through easier if you type in a normal e-mail instead
of attaching a Word Doc.
For those that could not read his question, I am copying it here from the
DOC he attached:
I encountered an interesting problem. The environment has been setup as a
SYBASE database environment. I need to access a SQL Server Database. I have
been unsuccessful. Here are the things that I have tried so far:
1) Created an ODBC for the SQL Server Database and then used that as a
parm for connectivity on the SQR command line. I know that the ODBC works
because I can use it inside of access to link to a table on the SQL Server
database. I got an error indicating that it was unable to logon to the
SYBASE database.
2) Used the DB connection string on the BEGIN-SQL statement. I got a
003730 error for bad parms. I followed the example in the SQL Language
Reference.
3) Tried to change the RDBMS.SQC to point to SQL Server by specifying
#Define Microsoft or ODBC. Still got a SYBASE error.
Has anyone seen this problem?
PS: Here's a tip. If your e-mail program will not decode these
attachments, save the message as a file with extension type of UUE, and use
WinZip to open the file.
Winzip will decode these attachments.
