I've seen core dumps on several occasions.  Many times it happens when a
value (such as a string variable) is used without an initialization, and
no value has been set for it (especially during a database insert).  I've
also had problems with an unussually long "string" command.  Try
commenting out sections at a time to narrow down where it sets something
that causes the core dump freakout later.
