Bus Error - core dumped error only on PDF output - engine 4.3x

Firstly greetings to all on the list - this is my first posting in this
community. I look forward to learning from and with you and possibly even
contributing sometimes!

We have a report that runs normally if we accept the lis or spf output. We
would like to run the report as a pdf output (which is working well for a
number of other reports using the printer:pd command). In this one report
the process monitor (PeopleSoft 7.5 installation) reports the sqr was
successful, but a look at the log file shows the following error.

14121 Bus Error - core dumped
prcs_sqr: -------------------Errror-------------
prcs_sqr: Command failure
prcs_sqr: SQR Command Terminated abnormally
prcs_sqr: Return Code : 138
prcs_sqr: -------------------Errror-------------


We placed a comment just before the End report line and the report makes it
all the way there. There error seems to occur during the cleanup process. I
checked the archives but didn't find a close match.

Any ideas?
