If you don't generate some sort of detail print line, then no headings will be
generated and you will get the error you indicated:

SQR: End of Run.
prcs_sqr: ------------------- Error -------------------
prcs_sqr: SQR did not generate a list file.
prcs_sqr: ------------------- Error -------------------

To avoid this, generate a "dummy" detail line.  It might say something like "No
errors encountered, normal EOJ".
This will generate the report that your "bean counters" want, indicating no
errors... and.... it will eliminate the unwanted error.

Hi group,
  I was wondering if any of you had any ideas as to what conditions could
cause the following log file error message would come out of the process
scheduler SQR (prcs_sqr) in Peoplesoft when we run this particular SQR that
we wrote in-house, and execute from the Process Scheduler:

SQR: End of Run.
prcs_sqr: ------------------- Error -------------------
prcs_sqr: SQR did not generate a list file.
prcs_sqr: ------------------- Error -------------------

In this instance, I know the report won't have any detail lines - only
headings, but that's what we want. Our payroll office would like to see a
blank report indicating that there were no errors on this particular report.

When the SQR DOES generate detail lines in addition to the headings, the log
file entries appear like the following:

SQR: End of Run.
Job number is: 939
PeopleSoft prcs_sqr Terminating normally

Any ideas on what we might be missing on this? Thanks in advance for your
