Hi Grace! If you are using Oracle, you can try the following built-in
function also:

to_char(hire_dt,'Day')

If you don't have Oracle, please disregard this message.

I am new to SQR, I am writing a report and i need to
return the start day!! i.e monday, tuesday etc.

Can i use datemath.sqc and how will i write it.
