LONG RAW variables in SQR

Group -

How does one handle LONG RAW variables in SQR? When I try to select a LONG
RAW and assign it to an &variable, I get "invalid data type".

I realize that I have to convert the contents from hex to character, but how
do I get it into a variable that SQR can chew on it?
