SQR and Open VMS

I have a very important question for all SQR users running SQR server
version on a DEC Alpha/Open VMS. I have just been given information
from another SQR user stating that Open/VMS will not be supported in
future versions of SQR Server. This statement came from a Brio
technical person. Below is the entire statement.

Brio's statement:

"I have processed your upgrade request for SQR 4.3.4. This is the
highest version available for DEC Alpha/Open VMS. Currently, there are
no plans to release another version of SQR for Open VMS. If you would
like to pursue this issue, please contact your Sales Rep and ask him to
push this to Product Management. Please let me know if you have any
further questions regarding this issue. Thank you!"

End of Brio's statement.

Does anyone know if this is true? If it is true, what are SQR DEC
Alpha/Open VMS sights doing? Is this why Peoplesoft is talking about
dropping SQR?

We have 600+ SQR programs and no plans to change mainframes or the
operating system. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone from BRIO monitoring this listserv would like to reply, please
do.

We are an SCT software user using SQR and Oracle.

Thank you,
