isblank vs. isnull
- Subject: isblank vs. isnull

Can someone tell me the difference between a null string and null.
Isblank checks if source_val is an empty string, null string, or composed
entirely of whitespace characters.
Isnull checks if source_val is null.
I was under the impression that isblank was just a more robust version of
isnull, but when I tested this, isblank doesn't seem to treat a null value
in the database as I thought it would.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Bill
