SPF viewer columns overlap

Hello -  Currently our users have report output sent directly to the
printer. However, I would like to use the SPF viewer so users can view the
report first. When using the viewer, many reports have columns overlapping,
despite the fact that the .LIS looks OK.  Does anyone know how to set up the
viewer to prevent columns from overlapping?
