try searching for call system, and I believe you would then call your VB exe 
that launches your crystal report. Get your manual out and look at how you will 
have to structure your procedures etc.. I would call the report after my SQR 
has successfully finished. I have my SQR's write files that my VB program reads 
to determine when the SQR is finished and if the process was successful.

Thanks for your comment.
I am new with SQR and I know VB code can call a Crystal Report and that is
what I was thinking of. I looked in this site and I did'nt see any examples
for what I wanted to do. This is what I am thinking of doing.
Select
field 1
filed 2
  insert to  new table B
from Table a
   call Crystal_report.rpt ( using this table B)

Is it possible to do this way from an SQR?

I assume you want to call a compiled crystal report? If this is the case you
would be calling and exe, the archives have many examples www.sqrug.com. If
you want to call a rpt file then use VB or C to call the report and use sqr
to call the VB or C exe.

  Can any one know how to call a crystal report from an SQR? This is what I
need to do. I populate a Temp table and then I need to call crystal report
to print out a form with this data. How do I call crystal report from my
SQR? Any help will be appreciated.
