Brio conference

SQR-USERS,

In case you missed it, Brio hosted a conference for Brio.Report (SQR),
Brio.Portal (ReportMart) and Brio.Enterprise (BrioQuery) customers
this past week in Monterrey, CA. The conference, titled Insight 2000,
was a great opportunity to learn about how the three product lines
will be enhanced and integrated in the coming year, and to exchange
application experiences with other users. There were about 1000
people at the conference, and about 200 of them were serious
SQR users (by my estimate).

SQR users will be excited to hear that support for XML input and
output is coming in the 6.0 release, along with the ability to
query SAP objects, and to query multiple, different databases from
a single report. There are also some cool integration points with
BrioQuery and Brio.Portal.

The PowerPoint slides from all the presentations are available online.

The SQR-related reports are in the section entitled Enterprise Reporting,
near the bottom of the page.

If you have any questions about the conference, a number of people
from the SQR-USERS list were there, so we should be able to answer
here, in this forum.

Ray Ontko & Co presented 4 talks. The first three listed below
are SQR-related. The last one is related to Brio.Portal (ReportMart).

Nathan Treadway: M2ER2 Converting and Bursting Legacy Reports
Eric Eastman: T5ER1 Developing Forms-based Web Reports
Ray Ontko: W9ER2 SQR the Ultimate Code Generator
Nathan Treadway: W10EIP1 How You Can Use the Brio.Portal Java API
                           without learning Java

Hope you find this useful.
