pdf formatting and "center" command

Hi group,
We've been experimenting with the creation of spf formatted files out of
one of our report SQR's and have come across a compatability problem with
the SQR "center" format command and the creation of an spf formatted file.
When we print the report out, we find two things: (1) the first line of the
report (1st heading line) appears truncated, and; (2) the top margin is
larger than when we create the report as an "lis" file. Since the "center"
command is intelligent enough to figure out whether the report is portrait
or landscape, it's a useful formatting command (as opposed to manually
coding the 1st heading line with the necessary spacing.) Has anyone else
found a work-around for this problem? Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Glenn Ackerson

P.S. Here's our Operating Environment:
SQR Version 4.3.4,
Application:Peoplesoft HRMS tools release 7.57, application 7.51
Database Server Operating System: AIX 4.2.1
