Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

It appears that it's principally a doc issue, since even though the docs
indicate that sqrw.exe operates the same as sqr on unix, the windows
executable apparently must have the output file specified, unlike unix
which accepts just the directory (letting sqr apply the default name
report_name.lis).

For what it's worth, -keep was not specified in the original command.
