Re: COMMA DELIMITED FILES
Hi Julie,
Creating delimited files is pretty easy... If you need to read and parse
delimited files you can find examples on my web-site:
http://www.sqrtools.com
There's a page dedicated to reading comma-delimited files... You'll also
find an SQR function library (tdfunc.sqc) on the SQL*Engine page that
has a more robust version of a Parsing routine (PARSE-Func-Put and
PARSE-Func-Get) which allows you to designate the delimiter and text
qualifier used.
Since you're new to SQR you'll find alot of useful material
(utilities/techniques/info)... it's a resource that deals almost
exclusively with the creative aspects of SQR and PeopleSoft... i.e. no
syntax or material found in manuals... and I post updates frequently...
Cheers,
Tony DeLia
PS - And 'SQR in PeopleSoft and Other Applications' is a great
reference... as is the SQRUG site...
