Stephen (and others)

Please forgive if someone else replied already.

You need to consult the printer's manual to find the code (usually an escape code sequence) which sets the printer tray.  Use this in your init-string when you declare the printer in the Setup paragraph.

Subject: Assigning Printer Tray - Saving Spooled Document

I have looked through the archives and haven't found a solution to our
problem.

We are using a Lexmark Optra S 2455 printer with 4 paper trays. I am sending
the SQR process' output straight to the printer, and the users want us to be
able to select a particular tray since each tray will have different form
sheets.

I don't believe we can use Postscript, because we use graphics on the
documents.

We were also trying to save the spooled document to file in case the printer
jams and loses the document. We can't use an .lis file, because when we
attempt to print the .lis file to the printer using PrintFile32, the
formatting (when it reaches graphics) is completely thrown completely out of
whack.

We are currently trying to tell NT to force the system to "Keep documents
after they have printed" within the printer properties under scheduling for
NT.

If anyone has had experience with either of these issues, please let me
know.

Thanks,

Stephen Ratliff
