Hi,
I did install the Hyperion SQR 8.3 quite a good number of times but
never had this issue.

I would first recommend you to check the software is compatible to both
OS and database, if your database supports ODBC (Oracle, DB2) use the
Hyperion SQR 8.3 ODBC version (this you can find on the download
center).

If your database is Teradata, Hyperion 8.3 does not support Teradata
only 8.5 or version 9 supports it.

Make sure you remove any previous version using add/remove programs and
restart the system before you try to install again.

They usually prefer you deinstall Hyperion performance suite incase you
have one installed before Hyperion SQR.

Well I know this is a basic thing but these basic things sometimes throw
us off the track.

I am getting the following message when I try to install
Hyperion SQR 8.3. We deinstall the product and it keeps
coming back with this message when we try and do a reinstall. 
Any ideas on what we need to do to correct this issue besides trying
to reinstall the product.
