RE: [sqr-users] SQR Coding guidelines

Bob,
you're quite right, that's what I meant when I said it can only add #include
files to the sqr source, it won't create them. Saving always adds *.sqr.
Yeah Brio should change it, but I doubt they will, Report Builder is not a
high priority product.

However, if you do use report builder to save the file, you can rename it in
Windows explorer by displaying the full file names (uncheck the option in
Windows explorer that says "hide file extensions for known file types).
Save it in Report Builder as xxx.sqr, then rename it to xxx.sqh. A hassle
yes, but it will get the job done.

Cheers, Steve.

I'm also using version 6.2.1. When I use the "Save As" command for a
file like header.sqh it will save the file, but will save it as
header.sqh.sqr, the .sqr extension is simply not displayed when using
file explorer. Since all these files have to be run on a Solaris box
eventually such a naming convention is a hassle. For instance, running
the SQR report with the above header include will fail if I use #include
header.sqh since the file is actually header.sqh.sqr.
