Subject: [rm-users] large SPF files in ReportMart

We're using SQR 4.3.2.1 and ReportMart 1.5.2 (though we should be
upgrading to 1.5.3 shortly).

We have some very large SQR-generated reports (more than 900 pages) that
we're trying to load into ReportMart. Obviously, if we use the standard
"load SPFSet" and have ReportMart generate a single HTML file from this
report, the user's browser runs out of memory (not to mention a long
wait just downloading the files in the first place, even on the LAN).

So, we need to find the best approach to splitting up the report as we
load it into ReportMart. We've tried using "-printer:ht -burst:p25" on
the SQR command line, which generates the output HTML files in 25-page
segements which are only downloaded to the browser when needed --
exactly what we would like. However, if we do this on the command line,
then we have to "manually" load all the generated files into ReportMart,
which aren't then related to each other as an SPFSet.

What we'd really like is for ReportMart to do the -burst:p25 itself when
it loads the SPF file, but we couldn't find any way to cause this to
happen.

We definitely would like to avoid splitting the report into
multiple entries in the WebSQRIBE index. We've already burst the report
into separate files based on the page header and don't want to make the
the WebSQRIBE index any longer.

Has anyone found a good way to handle large report files in ReportMart?
